One-bag travel checklist

Everyone knows the drill: you throw in six “just in case” things, the bag groans, and you still wear the same hoodie all week. This tool is for the moment you decide that was funny exactly once. It helps when you actually want to leave with one bag—weekend hop, work trip, beach, trail—and not play luggage Tetris at 2 a.m. We will not ask you to pack both flip-flops and emergency flip-flops. Choose trip length, travellers, activity, and only the extras you really mean (car hire, dressy evenings, and so on). The core list skips vague “maybe” items.

Core list = bring these. “Consider also” = useful if it matches your habits—nothing is duplicated as A or B. Tick trip details so linked items (e.g. licence when renting a car) land in the right place.
